The Graveside Service for Mr. Willie B. McGhee of Montezuma, Georgia will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, 8620 Highway 26 East, Montezuma, Georgia.
Mr. Willie B. McGhee, better known as “Baseball”, was born on September 9, 1932, to the late Mrs. Nealie Walton. Mr. McGhee was a deacon at Zion Hill Baptist Church. He was employed at Southern Frozen Foods for thirty-five years.
He departed this life on January 14, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Louise Joiner McGhee; his brother-n-law, Fredrick Joiner; his sisters-in-law: Lois Joiner, Ruby Miller, Juanita Joiner, and Mary Anna Joiner; and his brothers: James McGhee and J.D. Fields.
His loving memory will forever be cherished by his sister, Mrs. Charlie Mae Barnes; his children: Mattie and Tommy Lee, Jacqueline and Roy Turner, Willie B. and Sandra McGhee, and Thelma Nelson all of Montezuma, Georgia; his grandchildren: Wendy and Harold, Demetrica and James, Cassandra and Roger, Felicia and Paul, Jamie and Quentin, Tony and Stephanie, Tommy Lee Jr. and Alex Jefferson; seventeen great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
