The Funeral Service for Mr. Kewan Morgan of Americus, Georgia will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 3:00 P.M. at St. John AME Church in Plains, Georgia.
Kewan Lequint Morgan, son of Doreatha Morgan and Johnny Charles Barker Sr. was born on August 7, 1979. He was educated in the Sumter County School System. He joined St. John AME Church in Plains, Georgia and was employed at Jones Sanitation of Preston, Georgia.
Known as “Key” to many, he loved to fix on ATVs, and play with his dog, Toby. He loved riding ATVs through the country dirt roads. Letting the kids catch a ride on the back was his joy. A master on the court in basketball, and a phenomenal artist indeed, he could draw a self-portrait that would become famous if shown off. To know Key was to love Key, a humble soul that would give the shirt off back if his family or friends needed it. “AYE B” was his greeting for everyone.
On November 30, 2023, Kewan’s earthly journey ended, and he entered eternal rest. He is preceded in death by his grandmothers Fleeola Morgan and Ella Barker, his grandfather Johnny T. Barker, three uncles Dale Morgan, Kemp Howard, and Edgar T. Barker, and one Aunt Elizabeth Barker.
