Calvin L. Williams, son of the late Jessie Lee and Ethel Lee Williams, was born in Leslie, Georgia on March 4, 1961. He was educated in the public schools of Lee County and Sumter County. During his early years, he attended St. John Baptist Church with his parents.
Buster, as he was known to many, was somewhat a jack of all trades. He repaired vehicles, drove semi-trucks, operated farm equipment, and was a certified welder. He was funny, outgoing and the kind of person you just can’t forget. In Americus, Georgia on November 23, 2023, Calvin’s earthly journey ended, and he entered eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Jessie and Ethel Williams; three sisters: Carrie Mount, Durrie Lee Mount, and Schenita Martin; and five brothers: Henry Williams, Lee Edward Savage, M. C. Savage, Eddie Gene Williams, and Jessie D. Williams.
Calvin is survived by a loving and devoted friend, Mary Baisden of Americus, Georgia; his daughter, Tamika Williams of South Korea; his son, Jeremy Fulks of Arizona; one brother, John L. (Laverne) Williams of Desoto, Georgia; three sisters: Alma Telfair of Albany, Georgia, Louise Colson of Jessup, Georgia, and Mary Lois Williams-(Jerome) Dennis of Lithonia, Georgia; three nieces and two nephews that were raised as his brothers and sisters: Alvin D. Mount of California, Javon Mount of New York, Karen Sabier of New Jersey, Jacqueline Mount of South Carolina and Paula Prince of New Jersey; two sisters-in law: Jacqueline Williams of Jacksonville, Florida and Betty Williams of North Carolina; a loving aunt, Mrs. Mary Butler of Cordele, Georgia, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
