Henry James Stephens affectionately known as "Hen" of Americus, Georgia died at his home on September 18, 2023. The Celebration of Life Service for Henry James Stephens will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, 190 Upper River Road, Americus, Georgia with Pastor Bryan Meyers officiating. Interment will follow at Eastview Cemetery, Ashby Street, Americus, Georgia.

Rest is Peace Big Cuzn Hen ( Henry Jane). A truly nice guy with a magnificent smile. We grew up together on the south side (sea board-bottom ). Cousins through and through. Big Hen we miss you man…

My condolences to the Stephen's family on the loss of a brother,a cousin, an Uncle and most of all a friend. I did get an opportunity to see him before he became very ill. We laughed and talked about that rematch he always wanted. Thanksgiving won't be the same this year for me. I wasn't able to attend his home going ceremony in person but I did watch it live. I was especially touched by what was said in regards to how he came to Jesus. Hen was who he was and he made no apologies about it. He will be missed but will continue to live on in our memories of him. Farewell and Godspeed.
