Mildred “Honey” Frederick was born on August 4, 1917, in Oglethorpe, Georgia to Parker Sr. and Julia Joseph. Mildred married Albert Frederick. Through their union, they were blessed with two daughters, JoAnn and Jacqueline. She found Christ at an early age and became a life-long, faithful member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an Usher for many years. Mildred was blessed by being recognized as Antioch’s oldest living member thus far.

Mildred was a homemaker and reliable family member who often provided child care for many children in the family. She was a strong matriarch of her family; never mincing any words, a good friend to all, and always a woman of her word. Mildred transitioned from this physical world on June 7, 2023, at her home surrounded by loved ones. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband Albert, one daughter Janie Pearl Winston, brothers Leo Joseph, Parker Joseph, Jr., Governor Jospeh, and Earl Jesse Joseph, sisters Annie Grace Monts, Estella Crawford, and Jimmie Lee Alexander, grandson-in-law Edberial D. Melonson, and nephews Charlie, Cordel, Nathaniel, and Edward Jackson.

She is survived by her daughters: JoAnn (Arthur) Davis of Warner Robins, Georgia and Jacqueline Frederick of Montezuma, Georgia; her bonus son, James Edward (Regina) Howard of Stone Mountain, Georgia; four granddaughters: Monica (Jason) Woods of Bonaire, Georgia, Keisha Morgan, Nikki Melonson, and Carmen Davis of Warner Robins, Georgia; four great-grandchildren: Keivona (Joshua) Washington of Montgomery, Alabama, Kenadi Morgan of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Jaron and Jasmine Woods of Bonaire, Georgia; two great-great-grandchildren: Raelynn and Reece Washington of Montgomery, Alabama; her sister, Marie Jackson of Montezuma, Georgia; a host of loving nieces and nephews to include Emma Jean Jackson, Julia Tookes (Rev. Isaiah), Willie “Bobby” Jackson, Reginald Jackson, and Helen Williams; a devoted cousin, Albert (Mildred) Rucker of Perry, Georgia; other loving relatives and friends.
