Karl Wayne Styles, affectionately known as Lil Pete or Loko, was born on October 15, 2003, in Columbus, Georgia to Kristy and Travis Bowens. He was a 2022 graduate of Americus-Sumter County High School and was employed at Popeye’s Chicken. He was planning to further his education by going to college. He also had plans of starting a clothing line. He was so sweet and loved by everyone. He was preceded in death by his uncle Mr. Arthur Styles, an aunt Mrs. Carol McCoy, paternal grandmother Ms. Beverly Bowens and maternal grandfather Reverend Arthur Styles. Karl died tragically on Friday, October 14, 2022, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Lebanon Cemetery in Plains, Georgia. Due to COVID-19 concerns, we ask that you MASK UP and continue to practice social distancing for your protection and for the safety of others.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Kristy (Karl Johnson Sr.) and father, Mr. Travis Bowens; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mildred Hardy Styles; paternal grandfather, Mr. Willie James Barker; his six brothers: Mr. Karlon Styles, Mr. Karl Johnson Jr., Mr. Kaden Johnson, Mr. Dontravion Bowens, Mr. Dequavion Bowens and Mr. Nytavion Smith; five aunts: Ms. Angela Styles, Ms. Lakeisha Bowens, Ms. Michelle Bowens, Mrs. Femi Barker-Hinton and Ms. Teresa Barker; three uncles: Mr. Kelvin Styles, Mr. Michael Bowens and Mr. Corey Bowens. A host of cousins and friends also survive.
