Miss Pauline Harris was born in Macon County, Georgia on December 8, 1948, to the late Archie Lee and Annie Mae Harris. Pauline, affectionately called “Sister” by her family, grew up in Montezuma and was educated at the Historic D.F. Douglass High School in Montezuma, Georgia, graduating with honors in 1967. She continued her education by matriculating at The Fort Valley State (College) University.

Pauline loved God and her family. She loved listening to gospel music. She also enjoyed walking and sitting in the sunshine. Sister exemplified how to love and be humble. With a big smile, she greeted everyone with respect as “Mr. or “Ms.”, no matter what age.
