The Graveside Service for Ms. Shirley Ellison of Montezuma, Georgia will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Oglethorpe, Georgia with Reverend Norris Harris, officiating. Due to COVID-19 concerns, we ask that you MASK UP and continue to practice social distancing for your protection and for the protection of others.
Ms. Shirley Ellison was born on September 1, 1960 in Macon County, Georgia. She attended the public schools of Macon County and was a member of St. Paul AME Church, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Shirley was a dedicated employee in the dietary department at Flint River Hospital and Yoder's Deitsch Haus Family Restaurant for many years. Ms. Shirley Ellison passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021. She was preceded in death by her mother Willie Mae Ellison, her brother Eddie James Ellison and her grandmother Hattie Edge.
She leaves loving memories with her daughter Veronica Hill and husband, Antwann Hill Sr. of Kathleen, Georgia; her grandchildren: Aniya Hill and Antwann Hill Jr. both of Kathleen, Georgia; brother, Kenneth Ellison of Montezuma, Georgia; sister, Carolyn Sutton of Pinehurst, Georgia; nieces and nephews: Keylexius Battle, Jerry Sutton and Rodney Sutton; several loving aunts and uncles; two devoted cousins: Peggy Ridley of Montezuma, Georgia and Earnestine Furlough James of Atlanta, Georgia; other loving relatives and friends.
