The Graveside Service for Mrs. Sherryl Y. Arnett of Americus, Georgia will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at New Zion Baptist Church in Cobb, Georgia. Mrs. Sherryl Yvonne Walker Arnett was born on December 21, 1959, in Desoto, Georgia to the late Mr. John L. Walker, Sr. and Ms. Barbara Walker. She was joined in holy matrimony to Mr. Tony Sampson of Americus, Georgia. Sherryl joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Americus, Georgia and was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. Mrs. Arnett worked as a substitute teacher for years until she started having health issues.
She brought love and laughter to everyone she came in contact with, even when she wasn’t feeling her best. On Sunday, August 1, 2021, she passed from labor to reward. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Margret Banks, Rodney Banks and Darren Banks.
She leaves to cherish her memories and celebrate her life, two devoted daughters: Erika Clark of Warner Robins, Georgia and DaQuanda Arnett of Macon, Georgia; three sons: Mario Mullan (Nikki) of St. Petersburg, Florida, Roderick Arnett of Americus, Georgia and Vinson Morgan of St. Petersburg, Florida; two sisters: Marilyn Robinson of St. Petersburg, Florida and Tomeka Walker of Americus, Georgia; four brothers: John L. Walker, Jr. of St. Petersburg, Florida, Tony Banks of Americus, Georgia, Ricky Banks of Tampa, Florida and Randy Banks of Miami, Florida; ten grandchildren: Arreona, Aneecia, Mariyah, Amariyon, DaQuan, Lekevious, Braylen, Hailey, Nazareth and Roderick Jr.; two great grands: Erik and Anorrea; devoted friends: Goldie and Clarence Burts; a host of nieces and nephews; devoted god children: Chiketa Rivers, Adriene Green, Sheenia Green and Raquel Robinson; other loving relatives and friends.
