The Funeral service for Mr. Bernard Banks of Americus, GA will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Zion Hope Baptist Church with Rev. George F. Monts officiating. Burial will follow at the Eastview Cemetery.
Mr. Bernard Banks was born in Sumter County, Georgia on June 20, 1968 to the parentage of the late Ms. Francis Williams and Eddie Banks, Sr. He received his education in the Sumter County School system. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Ms. Nicollette Reese, his brother Mr. George Elvis Banks, step-mother Etta Mae Banks, great grandparents Mr. Claude Mable and Mrs. Bertha Lou Banks Mable, great aunt Mattie Banks, Willie Bell Jones, Leola Jackson, Carrie Lou Gary, and Eddy Mae McCoy, uncles John Henry Banks, Eddie James Mable, Claude Mullins, and great uncle Pete Jackson.
He leaves to mourn his passing four sisters: Mrs. Wilma (Charles) Robinson, Albany, GA, Mrs. Gwendolyn (Johnny) Williams, Americus, GA, Mrs. Samantha (Rick) Idlette, Leesburg, GA, and Ms. Natasha Searcy, Worcester, MA; six brothers: Mr. Eddie (Judy) Banks, Jr., Mr. Lafayette (Loraine) Banks, Mr. Victor Williams, Mr. Leonardo Williams, all of Americus, GA and Mr. Warren Banks, New Jersey; nine aunts: Mrs. Willie Pearl (Jessie) Bateman, Mrs. Mary (Charles) Cooper, Mrs. Georgia (Laurence) Johnson, Mrs. Johnnie (Johnny) Lyles, Ms. Ola Mae Lyles, Mrs. Patricia (David) Bell all of Americus, GA, Mrs. Dorothy (James) Hamilton, Warner Robins, GA, Mrs. Evelyn (Jimmie) Asberry, Ellaville, GA, and Ms. Eather Mae, Chicago, IL; six uncles: Mr. Joe L. (Agnes) Mable, Mr. Johnny (Patricia) Mable, Mr. Robert Bailey, Mr. Frank Laster all of Americus, GA, Mr. Donald Bailey, Oglethorpe, GA, Mr. Lamorris Mann, Atlanta, GA; one great uncle, Mr. George Banks, Americus, GA; a host of nieces and nephews including devoted nieces and nephews, Tomeika Hurley, Jeffery Hurley, Quantavious Hurley, Tanzy Banks, Shantrell Davis, Shadayla Williams and Kedrick Williams; a host of cousin including devoted cousin Betty Ann (Mank) Mable, and devoted friends Janice Wilson, Thomas Lawrence (Shirley White) Lawrence, Francis Lawrence, Marcus Reynolds also survive.
