The funeral service for Mrs. Loretta Jones Monson of Americus, Georgia will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 2:00 at the Eastview Church of Christ in Americus, Georgia with Bro. Willie Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at the Eastview Cemetery.

Loretta Jones Monson was born on September 9, 1962 in Americus, Georgia to Georgia Jones Solomon and the late Jimmy Lee Jones Sr. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. On June 14, 1980 Loretta married Lloyd Monson Sr. and they were married for 23 years.  Loretta passed away April 8, 2018 at the Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.  She was preceded in death by one sister Betty Ann Thornton.

She is survived by four children: Stephanie Monson, Lloyd Monson Jr., Tiffany Monson and Shanieka Monson; two grandchildren: Chelsney Monson and Tiana Monson; her mother, Georgia  Solomon; three sisters: Ozzie (Bell) Solomon, Vivian Solomon, and Christy Sterrett (Roger); three brothers: Jimmy Jones Jr. (Erica), Willie Solomon Jr., and Jermaine Solomon Sr.; auntie, Sandra Thompson, cousin, Gail Denmark; six nieces: Latoya Jordan, Anquania Mitchell, Diamond Davis, Raven Solomon, Ebony Solomon and Suzanne Monson;  six nephews: Preston Davis Jr., Jessie Thornton Jr., Corey Thornton, Colby Thornton, Jermaine Soloman Jr., and Devanushtae Smith; two uncles: Albert Durham Sr. and  Maurice Durham Sr.; aunts: Thelma (Joe) Dodson, Gloria (James) Moore, Brenda (Rodriquez) Green, and Mary Helen Durham; special In-laws and friends: Ilene (Mickey) Lisa Durham, Sue Monson, Keyascha Hollis, Sixto  Salazar, Frank Mack and Shanbrika Brown; devoted friend, Starling Hollis;  a host of cousins and friends also survive.

I would like to send my condolences to the family of Loretta. I know losing a love one in death is very sad but we can all look forward to the time when the almighty God do away with all things that causes pain and suffering even death.I am so sorry for your loss.
