Funeral services for Ms. Linda Denise Brown of Warner Robins, Georgia will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at noon at The Household of Faith Ministries, 1607 Armory Drive, Americus, Georgia.  Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery.

Ms. Linda Brown was born on September 27, 1973 in Americus, Georgia to Ms. Lucile Brown and the late Willie E. Nash. She was a 1993 graduate of Americus High School. She also attended South Georgia Technical College, Americus, Georgia and Mercer University, Macon, Georgia.

Sister Linda Brown loved the Lord and was faithful and dedicated to her church, Amazing Grace, THOF Warner Robins, Georgia. She also loved people. You could feel that love in the hugs she gave. She also had a smile that would light up the room. Linda went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, Americus, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Quanesha L. Brown and her father, Willie E. Nash.

She leaves lasting memories with her son, Christian T. Brown of Warner Robins, Georgia; her mother, Lucile Brown of Americus, Georgia; sisters: Bernice (Aaron) R. Johnson of Leslie, Georgia and Elizabeth Bryant of Macon, Georgia; brothers: Johnny (Cassandra) Mack of Americus, Georgia, Albert Mack, Jr. of Warner Robins, Georgia and Willie F. Mack of Americus, Georgia;  special aunts: Gladys (Jessie) Timmons and Dorothy Nash; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Mr. Dan Walters

Funeral services for Mr. Dan Walters, Jr. of Americus, Georgia will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Friendship Baptist Church with Bishop Melvin McCluster officiating. Burial will follow at Staley Memorial Gardens

Mr. Dan Walters, Jr. was born on January 9, 1934 in Americus, Georgia to the late Dan & Gussie Walters.  Dan was a graduate of Staley High School. He was married to Athalene (Sue) Perry Walters and that union was blessed with nine children. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Hattie Mae Foster, Mattie Mae Walters and Lizzie Maye and one son Larry Walters.  Dan passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 14, 2017 at the Magnolia Manor Nursing Center in Americus, GA. 

Dan is survived by his wife, Athalene (Sue) Perry Walters; his children:  Barbara Walters, Debra Griffin, Michael Walters (Keisha) of Warner Robins, Georgia, Cassandra Walters (Roosevelt) Lynn Walters of Augusta, Georgia, Shaunda Green (David) Felicia  Johnson (Randy), Kyle Walters (Stacey) all of Americus, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Minnie Peeples of Americus, Georgia; twenty-nine grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friend also survive.

Mrs. Lizzie Maye

Funeral services for Mrs. Lizzie Hodges Maye of Americus, Georgia will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church with Rev. Ted Walters officiating. Burial will follow at Staley Memorial Gardens.

Ms. Lizzie “Liz” Hodges Maye was born on Thursday, January 12, 1950 to the late Clifford and Inez Hodges, but she was raised by the late Dan and Gussie Walters. Liz was a 1968 graduate of A.S. Staley High School. For many years she was the owner and operator of Captain’s Hair Dimensions in Americus, GA and also served faithfully as a funeral attendant at West's Mortuary. Liz was a member of Queen of the South Eastern Star Chapter #70. Liz departed this life on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the Medical Center of Central GA.

Liz touched the hearts of many and was a true blessing to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers and a devoted niece: Mattie Mae Walters, Hattie Mae Walters, Wallace Lewis, Jerimiah Lewis and Emma Jean Lockett.  She leaves to celebrate her life two sons: Robert Maye of West Palm Beach, Florida and Kelvin Maye of Americus, Georgia; six brothers: Dan Walters of Americus Georgia, Nathaniel Hodges of Ellaville Georgia, Gene Hodges of Atlanta Georgia, Larry Lewis (Bridget) and John Lewis of Quitman Georgia and James Wiley of San Diego California; three sisters: Mary Walters of Americus Georgia, Mattie Hodges and Mary Ann Lakes (Allen) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; five grandchildren: Aron Baisden, Ashona Mann, Jarvis Gray, Nicholas Maye, and Robert Mann; four devoted nephews: Barry McGrady (Bridget), Corey Lockett (Kierra), Ted Walters (Trudy) and Roy Foster (Tee); two devoted cousins: Darrell Walters, and Christine Walters; five devoted friends: Sylvia Ann Collier, Tommie McCuller, Brenda Holmes, Dorothy Perkins and Pattie Young; devoted classmates, great grandchildren and a hostof nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.

Ms. Gladys Felton

Funeral services for Ms. Gladys Rena Felton will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 2:00 at Harrison Chapel Baptist Church in Montezuma, Georgia with Pastor Alfred Biggs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Gladys Rena Felton, affectionately called “Moosie” was born on April 27, 1965 in Montezuma, Georgia to Ms. Florie Felton and the late Alonzo Woolfork. Moosie enjoyed going to school. She attended Taylor DD Service Center.  She also enjoyed watching television. Her favorite shows were Family Feud, Property Brothers and other Home Improvement Shows. Moosie loved to dress up, spin around and model her outfits for her family and friends. She loved people, especially babies. Moosie had a beautiful spirit and held a special place in the hearts of all her family and friends. Moosie passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Navicent Health Hospital in Macon, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Inez Woolfork, two brothers: Lonnie Woolfork and Tony Felton.

‘Moosie” will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Ms. Florie Felton of Montezuma, Georgia; her sisters and brothers: Patricia Ann Felton, Michael (Barbara) Felton, Darron Felton, Sharon (Jody) Beal, Audrey Woolfork and Amillia (Eric) Woolfork all of Montezuma, Georgia, Tammy Hill (Ebony Brown) of Atlanta, Georgia, Lisa (Arney) Bryant of Vienna, Georgia, Jerome (Trina) Felton of Americus, Georgia, Reginald (Brenda) Thomas and Dennis (Betty) Thomas of Connecticut; aunts and uncles: John (Daisy) Felton, Earl Woolfork, Marie Woolfork and Joann Woolfork of Montezuma, Georgia, Jewel Lee Woolfork, Sr. of Immokalee, Florida, Roosevelt (Yvonne) Woolfork of Orlando, Florida, Eddie (Michelle) Woolfork of Canton, Michigan, Geneva (Elder James) Carter of Ocilla, Georgia and Molly Reid of Warner Robins, Georgia; special friends: Rosa Baldwin, Lillie Brown, Danae Simmons, and The Flint River Dietary Department; a host of cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
