Nanniel James

Funeral services for Ms. Nanniel James will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Friendship Baptist Church in Americus, GA with Rev. George F. Monts officiating. Burial will follow at the Eastview Cemetery.

Ms. Nanniel James was born on November 8, 1950 in Americus, Georgia to the late Mary James Porter and the late Roscoe Lamar, Sr.  She received her education in the Sumter County School System. Nanniel was a faithful member of the Zion Hope Baptist Church. She was employed for several years at Davidson Textron and at Woodgrain Mills in Americus, GA. She was preceded in death by a son, Carlton James and her grandparents Christine & Rev. Pearly Brown. Nanniel passed away peacefully on Friday, October 9, 2015 at the Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three children: Kelvin (Alegtha) James, Markell (Lachelle) James and Cheri James all of Americus, GA; two sisters: Jennifer P. (Reginald) Carter and Norma (Duke) Hurley all of Americus, GA; three brothers: Johnny B. Thomas, Willie Lamar both of Americus, GA and Roscoe Lamar Jr. of Hartford, CT; seven grandchildren: Jamarcus (Jade) Thomas of Jacksonville, NC, Brayli James, Quay James both of Texas, Hasanwon Smith of Idea, GA, Aaliyah James of Savannah, GA, Kaylan James and Jala James both of Atlanta, GA; two great grandchildren: Jaela Thomas and Joy Rose Thomas of Jacksonville, NC; five aunts: Alice Wise of Chicago, IL Catherine Shaw, Nadine Picket and Doris Pope all of Americus, GA. and Mae Francis Baker of Jacksonville, FL; one uncle, Homer Shelton of Chicago, IL; several other relatives, friends and neighbors including Sabrina Daniel, Shirley White, Gwen Bateman and Katrina Campbell also survive.

Mr. Charlie Frank Howzing

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Frank Campbell-Howzine will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Smithville, GA with Apostle Henry Hosley officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Mr. Charles Frank Campbell-Howzine was born October 8, 1932 in Terrell County, Georgia to the late Mrs. Rutha Alberta Campbell-Thornton and the late Mr. Jake Howzine Jr. He received his education in the public school system of Lee County.  At an early age he joined the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He was employed at the Nidrah Plantation for many years until his health failed.

Mr. Howzine departed this life 83 years later on his birthday, October 8, 2015 at Phoebe North in Albany GA.

He leave to his memory two sons: Mr. Kenneth McGee of Buffalo, NY and Mr. Charlie Frank Howzine of Smithville, GA one sister, Ms. Ruby Dean Thornton of Smithville, GA; two brothers: Rev. Lewis Thompson Jr. (Bonnie) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Mr. Herman Thornton of Albany, GA; A devoted cousin Mrs. Mary Ellen Reddick of Clairton, PA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Michael Willis of Montezuma, Georgia will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Montezuma, Georgia with Rev. Allen Waters officiating. Burial will follow in Champ Waters Cemetery in Montezuma, Georgia.

Mr. Michael Willis was born on August 6, 1962, to the late Mr. Jerome Loftly and Mrs. Martha Willis-Keller in Macon County, Georgia. He acquired his education in the public school system of Macon County where he graduated from D.F. Douglass High School in 1980 and continued his studies at The Fort Valley State University. He was employed at RCA Contracting.  He accepted Christ as his personal savior and joined the band of Christian believers at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in New York City. He departed his life on Thursday, October 1, 2015.

His legacy of love will be cherished by his mother Martha Keller and father John Keller of Englewood, New Jersey; grandmother, Mrs. Effie Loftly of Atlanta, GA; brothers and sisters: Pamela (Tristan) Williams of New Iberia, LA, Jason (Brittany) Keller and daughter, Addison Keller of Clarkston, GA, Sandra (Tyrone) Nelson of Snellville, GA,  Karen Loftly and  Kenneth Loftly of Duluth GA,  Regina (Andre) Jordan of Lithonia, GA and Portia Walker of Oglethorpe, GA; devoted aunt, Betty Engram and devoted uncle, Charles (Mazarene) Allen both of Montezuma, GA; aunts and uncles: Mary (James) Washington of Coco, FL, Elzie Martin of Warner Robins, GA, Willie Virginia Loftly,  Dorothy Loftly and Paul (Sandra) Loftly of Atlanta GA, and  Willie James (Joyce) Loftly of Montezuma GA; devoted cousins: Linda Forbes, Reginald Allen, James Brown, Claude Forbes, Jr., Marcus Joseph, Eric Chastine, and Cordell Willis; devoted friend, Ronnie McClendon; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
